A homeless dog named Koala-bear lived in a neighborhood in India. He got along well with all the residents, and he befriended every stranger he met. He’s a very gentle and incredibly sweet dog and everyone liked him, so his neighbors made sure he lived the best life possible.
Every day was just a normal day for Koala-bear. He played on the streets, ate his meals, and took naps in someone’s yard. One day, however, a tragic accident happened. A speeding car hit him and he almost lost his life.
The poor dog was in agony and his neighbors worried about him. They didn’t know what to do to help him so they reached out to the local animal rescue group Animal Aid Unlimited. They explained what happened and a group of rescuers responded to their call.
Koala-bear knew he needed help, but the accident left him traumatized. He feared the rescuers and he ran away from them. It took quite a while but in the end, he figured they were there to make things better.
The dog didn’t suffer from any broken bones. His left eye, however, was the one that got seriously injured. It was badly impacted and it swell and ruptured shortly after the accident.
Animal Aid Unlimited’s experienced veterinary doctors knew time was of the essence. They quickly prepped the dog and performed emergency surgery on it. It was the only way to save Koala-bear’s life.
A few days after his operation, Koala-bear was no longer in pain. He was yet to fully heal but he was back to being so sweet and friendly. He stayed close to his rescuers and he enjoyed all the attention he received from them.
Soon, Koala-bear recovered, thanks to his rescuers’ expert care. He lost one eye but he got a fresh start. The rescue center became his home and every one of his rescuers became his family.
