You may not realize it, but one small act of kindness has the potential to go viral. This is what happened to a supermarket security guard who did what he thought was the right thing.
A man named Ethan Dearman works as a security guard. He noticed a golden retriever sitting alone outside a shop on a particularly rainy day. He was waiting for his owners to finish shopping, and the sweet dog was tied to a pole. The situation wasn’t great, but at least the dog wasn’t suffocating inside a car.
Ethan could see the dog becoming wet, and he wasn’t pleased with what he was seeing. At that time, he was holding an umbrella and he decided to approach the dog and place the umbrella over its head. Ethan also thought that the dog needed a blanket and he wanted to keep him dry.
The good man was all too prepared to put himself in harm’s way for the dog’s sake. Ethan claims he had never given it any second thoughts. He had just seen the sad state of the dog and wanted to give him comfort. The dog smiled and looked satisfied after he was shielded from the rain.
Ethan’s act amused and moved a large number of people. One of them even took a picture and tweeted it. The internet agreed, and the post went viral almost instantly. It was so popular that it received about 100,000 likes and was shared 12,000 times in only one day.
The kind man came across the post and decided to share it himself. Later, the gracious security guard expressed that he felt good that what he did made so many people happy.
The security guard was beginning to be called a hero as more people saw the photo and learned about the story. Some even called the company where he worked, requesting that the nice man be recognized and given a raise. They were guaranteed that the company will take action.
Whatever it is, this nice samaritan is deserving of every good thing that life has to offer.
Shout out to this @Morrisons security man keeping this good boy dry. He said ‘well you never know how dogs feel about the rain’ pic.twitter.com/B9CPWI7u5Q
