Someone is responsible for the recent success of the football team San Francisco 49ers, and many may not expect it to be her. She is the smallest member of the crew and adores kibbles and balloons. Her name is Zo.
Zo, a French bulldog, is recognized as the first emotional support dog in the entire history of the National Football League. When the 49ers adopted her, they became the first team in the NFL to have an emotional support animal.
Austin Moss, the team’s director of player engagement, adopted Zo in October 2018. Since then, the puppy has brought the players warmth, tranquility, and positivity. She spends time with them prior to and following the game. Additionally, she joins them between practices.
According to a representative for the team, Zo helps improve the squad’s day. During long days filled with practices, workouts, and meetings, she serves as a stress reliever. Currently, Zo is registered as an emotional support dog. However, she is also pursuing certification as a therapy dog.
Since joining the 49ers, Zo has been cuddling with her famous teammates, including Nick Bosa and Jimmy Garoppolo. She has numerous images of them on her Instagram account as evidence.
Moss stated that the team consists of strong men who are not accustomed to expressing their emotions openly. However, because of Zo, they discovered a place where they could be themselves and have fun. Zo aids them in this regard.
In contrast to previous seasons, the 49ers have experienced a winning streak this year. Because of this, their chances of making the playoffs are high. Zo is likely the newest and smallest team member. However, even at this early stage, her influence is already felt. She is further evidence of the potent influence of dogs on humans.
