Young Golden Retrievers Form A Friendship With Some Chicks, And They All Look So Adorable

Mark Mason

We have always observed how easy it is for dogs to become friends with other creatures. It is a marvel to see how effortlessly they can make new friends.

Just take into account these young Golden Retrievers that befriended a few chicks in their home in Petaluma, California. They have just proven that they were the friendliest dogs around.

These chicks were a Christmas gift from their owner’s husband. The newborn chicks were so adorable as they cuddled together while being cradled by their human father.

It was clear that this family adores animals. We need more of them in the world, and so do many animals that need forever homes.

The dogs were first uninterested in making friends with the yellow chicks. Like most youngsters, the young Goldens mainly disregarded the newcomers to the household.

But that didn’t last very long, however, and that’s when things took a turn for the better. The chicks must have found the coats of their canine companions to be warm because they used them quite well.

One chick rode on the back of one of its golden retriever siblings, and it’s reasonable to assume that it really loved the ride. The baby chick then sat on the dog’s back, enjoying the feel of the dog’s fur.

Chicks are used to warm environments. It is probably because they spend most of their childhood under their mother’s protective wing. That is most probably why they chose to stay near their dog siblings.

The cute dogs certainly did not mind carrying their new chick siblings on their backs. This is how they operate, and we must say that these chicks are fortunate to have the golden retrievers as their newest friends.

It is really nice to see dogs being friends with chicks as it is quite an unusual thing.
