Life has a tendency to be unpredictable, which means that we can be depressed and feel wretched one moment, and then thrilled and content the next. No matter the circumstances and what we are feeling, we need to be resilient each and every day.
This happens to people, but it can also be the same with animals. One such example is that of Turbo, a Chihuahua.
Turbo is an active and cheerful puppy, although he was born without front legs. Ashley Looper from Indianapolis is the owner of Turbo.
Ashley said that when Turbo arrived at the animal hospital where she worked, he was small and adorable. As soon as she saw actually him, she fell instantly in love with him.
Six-month-old Turbo was born without rear legs. The woman who brought him was unable to care for him. In addition, his littermates did not treat him with kindness.
Ashley prepared and fed Turbo rice bits to help grow the muscles in his hind legs. She wanted help for the puppy, but most cart manufacturers do not make carts for dogs under 6 to 8 months old.
She did not consider the possibility of waiting for so long. Therefore, she chose to construct Turbo’s first cart from a toy aircraft. In Turbo’s first two weeks, all she desired was for him to move along and propel himself forward. However, there was a difficulty because Turbo was unable to utilize it easily.
Other DIY carts made by the mother were subpar. Therefore, she began an internet-based fundraising drive. Overnight, Turbo’s story became viral! It drew the attention of an aerospace engineer in San Diego, who volunteered to manufacture Turbo’s cart and mail it to them – a one-of-a-kind 3D-printed body harness with wheels.
Turbo understood the idea, but he did not run. When Ashley brought her other dogs close to him, he immediately flew off! What a thrilling experience Ashley had! A year later, Turbo acquired a new friend named Ruby, a rescue dog, and he was ecstatic because they became inseparable. It seems that they were aware of their differences.
Turbo is highly motivated and is capable of doing about everything a typical dog can. He forgets he has two legs, can hop on the couch whenever he desires, and possesses a wonderful personality.
However, Turbo went through various cart sizes to accommodate his expanding size, and he now moves about so effortlessly that nothing can stop him.
