A Dwarf Dog Is Able To Find The Ideal Forever Home, Complete With The Ideal Family

A Dwarf Dog Is Able To Find The Ideal Forever Home, Complete With The Ideal Family

Mark Mason

Breeders earn a living by selling the puppies produced by their breeding dogs. Occasionally, though, some of the puppies are born with a sickness or genetic defect that prevents them from being sold. Responsible dog breeders usually give these puppies up to animal rescue organizations in the hope that they would find a permanent home.

Dottie was surrendered by her breeder in New Zealand to the New Zealand Chihuahua Rescue Center, which is managed by Casey Walters. Casey and her partner fell in love with Dottie the moment they saw her.

Dottie is a little dog with a huge personality. The pair believed Casey would soon start growing up and growing big. She never did, and remained extremely little.

When Dottie was finally examined by a veterinarian, she was diagnosed with dwarfism, much to Casey and her partner’s amazement.

However, Dottie’s life remained unchanged following her diagnosis. She was as spirited as ever and enjoyed playing with other dogs. Casey does not really care much about her size and so she engages in playfights with the larger dogs. She even found an adoptive mother named Pepper in her new home.

Casey learned after a few years that Dottie’s original mother would be retired from breeding. She and her partner did not even need to deliberate and think about their options. They chose to adopt Dottie’s mother in order to reconnect her with one of her children.

In addition to her dwarfism, Dottie faces more health issues. Despite this, she continues to be a cheerful dog who attracts and charms everyone she meets. She is a fortunate dog that found the ideal forever home without having to wait for too long. She enjoys a tranquil and happy life with a family that cherishes her and adores her despite her health problems.
