Doggo Is Reunited With The Soldier Who Took Her In As His Own While Serving In Iraq

Dog rescue stories are always really heartwarming. It is solid proof that we consider them as our best buddies and we would always have a soft spot for them. Doggos are adept at building rapport with humans, making it difficult to stop ourselves from helping them when needed. Many of us even choose to adopt dogs that are in need of a home.

A soldier stationed in Iraq encountered a nice dog named Aries, and he immediately adopted her. This soldier was Nick Pierzchalski and during his deployment, he met Aris who was part of a pack that frequented his base. One day, the dog, this dog approached Nick and chose to be with him.

Nick was a Blackhawk pilot stationed in a military post where dogs are regarded as a menace. Therefore, the soldier decided to bring Aries to a secure location. He and his colleagues even constructed a kennel for her to rest and sleep in.

Because Aries reminded them so much of their pets at home, Nick’s fellow soldiers loved having her around. Despite the challenging nature of their work, the presence of a friendly canine brightened up their days. They adored Aries so much that they ordered dog food for her.

Aries was a young dog when Nick and his group first took her in. They gave her unrestricted access to their base, and each day she felt more at ease there. The dog adored greeting passersby and would console soldiers following a long day of work.

When it was already time for Nick to return home from his deployment, he wanted to bring Aries with him. And that was made possible because of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) International. The organization took care of Aries for two months and covered all of her travel expenses.

When Aries arrived, Nick was already at his home. He greeted his furry best buddy with big hugs and promised to provide her with the warm, caring home that she deserves. Aries has now become part of Nick’s family.
