Frightened Stray Dog That Was Living In An Open Field In California Has Finally Learned That Happiness Can Come From Being Part Of A Family

Frightened Stray Dog That Was Living In An Open Field In California Has Finally Learned That Happiness Can Come From Being Part Of A Family

Mark Mason

Dogs who have never experienced being part of a family are naturally fearful of humans. For them, life is all about surviving each day, and that is why they have learned to be more cautious of other beings that they are not familiar with, including humans. This mentality has made it challenging for rescuers to save them because each time a human approaches, they have a tendency to flee.

A little puppy living in a big field in a California suburb was so scared of humans that she would flee at the least sign of a person approaching. She was extremely swift, rendering futile any attempts to rescue her. Until one winter day, a rescuer was fortunate to secure the small dog.

Before attempting to capture the stray dog, one rescuer observed her from a distance. He recognized that the mutt had every edge to outrun him. She resided on a property that was surrounded by a fence, but it was spacious, and the dog could easily dodge and outmaneuver him. It was impossible for him to outrun her.

He resolved to acquire a trap and return extremely early the next morning, rather than exerting all that work for nothing. By doing so, the dog would not see him setting the trap.

He positioned the cage near a small opening in the chain-link fence and filled it with food. The rescuer returned to his vehicle and waited patiently at a distance.

A few hours later, the dog arrived, and the trap was effective.

The rescuer took the dog to their facility, where she was bathed and examined. Fortunately, the dog’s health issues were modest.

They gave her the name Pinky and gave her to a woman who agreed to foster her.

Pinky began to flourish under the care of the woman. She morphed into a loving canine who adored playing games. Over time, the foster mother fell in love with the puppy and decided she would keep her permanently.
