German Shepherd Finds The Best Way To Cope With Being Alone Each Time Her Fur Mom Leaves Their Home

German Shepherd Finds The Best Way To Cope With Being Alone Each Time Her Fur Mom Leaves Their Home

Mark Mason

When dogs suffer from separation anxiety, they frequently start ceaseless howling and furniture destruction. However, a cute German Shepherd developed a healthy and non-destructive way to manage her anxiety – and she has become viral because of it.

When a woman named Raven Atchison adopted Kalina, she discovered the adorable dog suffered from separation anxiety. The dog frequently feared being left alone in the house and always wanted to be with Raven. Therefore, the fur mom ensured that she was at home as much as possible.

On days when she had to leave Kalina, she would still monitor her using the security cameras she had set throughout the house. She would frequently check on the dog to see if anything was causing her distress while she was away.

Raven observed something unusual about Kalina’s behavior on one of these occasions. The fur mom was out running errands in town on that day, leaving the German Shepherd home alone. Raven decided to take a quick glance at what her dog was doing at that moment, and that’s when she spotted the wonderful moment.

Kalina was sniffing around in Raven’s bedroom, looking for something specific. The dog then approached her fur mom’s pile of clothing and continued sniffing there. After a few seconds, she extracted a red garment from the pile and carried it to the bed.

The dog then snuggled happily with the clothing, evidently comforted by Raven’s scent that was still on the garment.

The fur mom was so moved by the dog’s peculiar behavior that she felt compelled to post the video online. This video has received over 150,000 views on YouTube so far since it was published by Raven.

Sometimes, our dogs just want to be with us and if we can’t be there physically, we can give them something that has our scent to keep them at ease and at peace.
