A stray dog, later named Randy, was first discovered after he broke into a special needs farm sanctuary run by Paige Graham called The Isle of Misfits Farm Sanctuary. It seemed like he wanted to ask for help but didn’t know how to so he ended up just ripping out a screen door to hang out on the rescue farm’s porch. But when Paige’s mother came out and saw him, Randy got scared and left.
A few hours later, Randy came back but this time he saw Paige instead. At first, Paige was alarmed at the sight of him because she didn’t know if he was friendly and she had some of her paralyzed chihuahuas outside. So she chased him off, closed the gate to her property, and quickly got the dogs into safety. But as soon as she got the dogs inside, Randy already dug his way back.
Randy was definitely nervous at the time but he knew that this was the place where he could get the help he needed. So, he decided to stay and Paige immediately got him a leash. That was then she realized that Randy got a wonderful disposition. He didn’t understand affection, he reacted well to pets and he was always calm.
Paige also realized that she actually knew Randy as she has already seen him a few times before, running around the farm. She initially thought he might belong to someone so she started asking about him. Unfortunately, no one really claimed him and not even one person came looking out for him. Paige soon felt that Randy might really be a stray but she wanted to be sure just in case so they went to the vet to scan for a microchip.
At the vet, Paige discovered that Randy didn’t have any so it was confirmed that he was a stray. She couldn’t keep him herself but she knew people who could so she quickly went to work to find Randy a new home. And it wasn’t long before she did as one of her foster moms actually fell in love with him and planned to adopt him as soon as the foster period was over.
Now, Randy has a forever family who loves to spoil him daily and a warm new home to call his own.
