A car under the sun can get hot in a matter of minutes. As such, it is dangerous for any living being to be inside it. But why do some people still insist on leaving their dogs inside the car?
A man named Bill Morris came across a Yorkie, who appeared to be lifeless, inside a car. But he didn’t wait for the police to arrive to rescue the dog.
If you want to know what Morris did to save the pooch, just keep reading this story.
Rescuing the dog in the car
Morris was on his way to buy a new vacuum cleaner when a couple named Eddie and Samantha Harvey told him that a dog was trapped inside a car. When he took a closer peek at the car, he realized that the dog was just minutes away from death.
Morris, a loyal fur dad himself, knew that no pooch should be left in such harsh conditions. So, he quickly grabbed an axe and smash the car window to rescue the dog. It was indeed a risky move, but he knew that the dog’s life should come first.
Once the car’s front window was smashed, Morris grabbed the pooch by the leash and pulled him to safety. At last, the poor dog was free.
Is the pooch okay?
Two security officers were nearby, so Morris told them about what he did. Thankfully, the officers’ concern was focused on the dog and not on the broken car window.
The said officers then rushed the rescued Yorkie to the veterinary clinic to assess his health. Apparently, it was discovered that the pooch was inside the car for at least 45 minutes. His coat, which was in desperate need of a haircut, likely made his body hotter.
The owner of the dog apologized for what she did, saying that she didn’t know what she was thinking. Unfortunately, she wasn’t given any charges for her negligence.
