When you were still a kid, you might have begged your parents to give you a puppy. And if your wish was granted, the day the puppy arrived at your home was probably one of the best.
A 12-year-old boy from Ohio received one of the greatest surprises in his life. This was after his parent gave him an adorable puppy on his birthday. A video of his reaction even went viral online.

A dream came true
A woman named Sara Grimpo shared a video on TikTok where the family gave Adam, Grimpo’s son, a puppy. But since it was a surprise gift, Adam didn’t know what he was about to receive.
When he unwrapped his present, he was confused about why he was receiving dog toys. Grimpo, who was not in the frame, said that Adam would need a dog.
Tim, Grimpo’s husband, then walked into the room and stood behind Adam. The dad was holding a puppy in his arms.
When Adam turned around and saw the puppy, he gasped and smiled. But then, he burst into tears. He then petted the puppy on his head.
The dog, a mix of Golden Retriever and Portuguese Water Dog, was named Weller.

Adam and Weller’s story had been picked up by Good Morning America. On Good Morning America’s YouTube page, the video currently has more than 140K views, 3.5K likes, and over 300 comments.
One commenter said that what the parents did for their son would be one of their best decisions. He added that the unconditional love one would receive from a dog is priceless.
