A Lost Dog Is Welcomed In An Alabama Prison And Experiences The Finest Southern Hospitality

Mark Mason

This English Setter named Soup has been a longtime resident of Montgomery, Alabama. The dog lived with his family, and their neighbors adored him for his active nature. However, the dog disappeared one day after chasing a deer through the neighboring woods.

While pursuing the deer, Soup was unaware that he had traveled a great distance. Because the woods are tough to navigate, the dog had difficulty finding his way home. The dog wound up at the Kilby Correctional Facility, where maintenance supervisor Charles Brooks showed him Southern hospitality.

According to Charles, he spotted the dog on his way to work on Monday. When Charles saw the dog, he was curled up next to a car in the shelter and appeared anxious and fearful.

As a dog enthusiast, Charles knew how to address the dog. Then, he handed the dog a warm biscuit and some water because Soup appeared exhausted and hungry.

The dog then started an excellent friendship with Charles, and he also started to have faith in the maintenance worker. The dog subsequently followed Charles around and assisted him with his work that day.

Soup had no idea that his family in Alabama was already anxiously searching for him.

Michael and Leigh Parker, the dog’s human parents, reported that the search lasted three days. Michael reported that as soon as they learned that their dog was missing, they began searching for him in the forest. However, the search was fruitless because the dog could not be found.

Meanwhile, Charles reported Soup’s case to the local police.

Michael had also filed a report regarding their lost family dog. According to the police officer, Soup resembled the dog that was reported missing. The cops then summoned Michael to verify whether Soup was his pet. The reunion took place then and there.
